Troubleshooting
Common issues and how to fix them. Still stuck? Reach out anytime — we're here to help.
Circuit breaker tripped
- 1Locate the breaker panel in the downstairs bedroom behind the skiing picture. The picture frame is on a hinge. Just pull it open to reveal the panel.
- 2Reset the tripped breaker by flipping it all the way to OFF and then back to ON.
Hot tub too hot or too cold
- 1Turn the hot tub temperature up or down using the control panel on the side of the tub. The temperature will adjust gradually over 30–60 minutes.
- 2If it is in ECO mode, the temperature will not adjust. Press the ECO button to turn it off.
How do I change the thermostat temperature?
- 1Our home is equipped with a furnace for heating and an air conditioner for cooling.
- 2The thermostat is located in the hallway near the kitchen.
- 3Rotate the dial to adjust the temperature.
- 4You can change the mode from heating to cooling by pressing down on the dial and rotating to the desired mode.
Where do I put the trash and recycling?
- 1Trash and recycling bins are located on the front porch in the trash closet.
- 2Please separate recyclables from trash. Trash is on the left, recycling on the right.
- 3Glass bottles and jars should be rinsed and placed in the recycling bin. Please do not put glass in the trash or with the mixed recyclables.
BBQ grill not working
- 1Open the cabinet under the grill and ensure that the propane tank valve is fully open.
- 2If the grill still doesn't light, check that the igniter button is working. If not, use a long lighter to ignite the burners.
- 3If the propane tank is empty, there is a spare tank in the garage. Please return the empty tank to the garage when you leave.
How do I use the dishwasher?
- 1Dishwasher detergent tabs are located under the sink. Use one tab per load.
- 2Load dishes and press the start button. Close the door and the dishwasher will start automatically.
- 3It's much easier to load heavy items toward the back.
Smart lights not working
- 1If Alexa won't turn on or off the lights, try the wall switch.
- 2If that doesn't work, you may need to reset the smart light by switching the circuit breaker off and on again. The breaker panel is in the downstairs bedroom behind the skiing picture.
How do I lock the bikes?
- 1There are several cable locks in the garage. Use one to secure the bike frame and wheel to a fixed object.
- 2The combination is 0-0-1-9.
How do I do laundry?
- 1All laundry supplies are provided in the laundry room. Detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets are all included.
- 2Just turn on the washer or dryer and select your desired cycle then hold down the start button for 3 seconds to start the cycle.
Hot tub is dirty or has a strange smell
- 1Take a photo of the water and send it to us. We'll contact our maintenance team to check the water chemistry and make sure it's safe to use.
- 2Do not use the hot tub if the water is cloudy, has a strong chemical smell, or has visible debris.
- 3PLEASE don't pee in the hot tub. It can cause the water chemistry to go out of balance and make it unsafe to use.
WiFi not connecting
- 1Network name: Eaglewood Escape Guest
- 2Password: 'fresh air'
- 3If issues persist, try restarting your device or forgetting the network and reconnecting.
- 4If it still doesn't connect, try restarting the router. The router is located in the cabinet under the TV in the living room. Unplug the power, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
- 5If issues persist, text or call Blake and we'll get you back online as soon as we are able.
Hot tub not heating
- 1Ensure the cover is fully closed — the tub won't heat efficiently with the cover open.
- 2Check that the jets are off and the temperature is set to your desired level on the panel.
- 3Heating can take 30–60 minutes after the cover has been open for a while.
- 4Contact us if the temperature doesn't rise after an hour.
TV or streaming not working
- 1All TVs are logged into Netflix and Prime Video — just select the app and pick a profile.
- 2If you log into a service with your own account, please log out before you leave.
- 3You can also use Airplay to stream from your phone or tablet to the TV.
- 4We do not provide cable or satellite TV service, but you can use streaming services like Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube TV with your own accounts.
